Case Fan Cooling
Is a stock cooling fan for an XP3000+ sufficient for an X2 4800+ in a small sized case?
I'm getting an upgrade for my E-machines system, and I'm hoping not to have to buy a new cooling fan
oops, ok, AMD XP 3000+ to =MD 64 X2 4800+
It would be if it could fit. The XP heatsinks are slightly offset and beveled. Also, it uses a different mounting bracket.
Just spend the $45 and get one of those awesome silent 120mm heatsinks. I had one and it was awesome. It ran cooler than liquid cooling.
