What type of USB cable do I need to transfer programs from my old PC to my new computer?

I just bought a new computer and want to transfer all my programs Fave from my old laptop. I understand the need for a USB cable, but cables and all those who studied at PC World computer stores and many other types, but none of them are "male to male 'plug them in, but a large cork on 1 side and a small plug in the other, or extension cables. How do I connect my old laptop USB port USB port on my new PC without a cable which has 2 ends overlap? Ideas anyone? Thank you all ………!!!!

No, you must use an Ethernet cable. If you get one with a crossover cable, then you can connect two computers directly. If you have a router, you can use standard Ethernet cables and pass through the router. It will also be disappointed if you try to move programs. Generally have a large number of entries and DLL Files Registry that are not copied. Most programs will not run if it is properly installed. The best is the simple transfer of data, documents, images, sounds, videos etc. USB is not designed for networked computers.
